It is our honor and a privilege to hold the 3rd Annual Changing Tomorrow Today Black Tie Award Gala on October 18, 2010 from 5 PM - 8 PM in the beautiful Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia. Some of the highlights for the evening will be a silent auction of sports memorabilia and Natasha Brown, anchor for CBS3 emceeing the event.

The Awards Gala is a chance for Mentor Me Community Support to honor those individuals that are dedicated to empowering the lives of youth. These awards being presented are intended to highlight their Outstanding Service to the Community and Outstanding Commitment to Community Support. The honorees are remarkable individuals that are the cornerstones to our success and what drives us to continue to expand our reach to connect with more youth. The following individuals will be spotlighted for their exemplary community service contributions:

Community Impact Award:

  • DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles
  • Thomas Tapeh former Philadelphia Eagles Player
  • Barette Vance The Janis and Stephen Goodman Soloist Dancer- Pennsylvania Ballet

Civic Leadership Award:

  • Samuel Staten, Jr. President of Local #332
  • Eddie Fennell Producer Clear Channel Radio

The mission of Mentor Me Community Support is to provide community support services to children from the Philadelphia area. The goals of theses programs are to support young people in acquiring, achieving and maintaining lifelong skills and goals. Our programs are implemented by initiating and building relationships within the community to enrich and empower these youths with the mentoring support of special individuals like those being honored.

All proceeds will go towards Mentor Me Programs and Scholarship for kids.
